UCPH Research & Information Security
Research & Information Security is a department in the university administration. The department handles a wide range of tasks such as responsible conduct of research, research funding, research evaluation and analyses, strategy development, management support, research data management and information security.
The department is divided into two units: Research Services and Development and Research Compliance
Research Services and Development solves research support tasks at the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with the faculties.
The office's other tasks include research policy matters, management support, supporting the university's research integrity and security, and operating and developing the university's research registration system (CURIS).
The office also provides secretarial services to the University of Copenhagen's Research Management and the university's Practice Committee.
The Research Compliance unit works with and solves group-wide tasks in three different areas: Research data management, data protection and information security.
The unit contributes to both the development and implementation of strategies and policies within the three areas. The unit also implements internal controls and handles incidents related to personal data and information security.
Implementation of the relevant policies and guidelines for management and security of research data and sensitive personal data is carried out in close collaboration with other administrative departments at the university.
